Hard to get out of bed this morning. The last few days of long distance riding starting to catch up with us. Longish morning session punctuated by the need to repeatedly put on and take off our raincoats as showers swept across the prairies. Wrong turn into the centre of town, which was rather spread out without much in the way of tourist services. They were all out on the highway bypass. Sat under the awning of a bank branch as the rain continued. I wandered around looking for the way back to the traffic, and managed to walk through some wet concrete. I didn't notice until I tried to stop the bike next, and found my shoes were cemented to the pedals. The prospect of cycling in more rain with no tailwind then setting up the tent in a bog was incentive enough to stop here for the day. << Prev - Next >> |
