Nice morning riding along the Lakes Way, with some serious hills but excellent scenery through the Myall Lakes National Park. Road flattened out at the point those wussy Foster iron-man triatheltes turnaround. Really nice riding by the lakes, until we hit heath country where we could see nothing and had stiff headwinds. Majorly exhausted at Foster. Sitting by the bay watching the pelicans and triathletes training (swimming back and forth across the bay). Very hard to motivate ourselves to push on to Taree. Quite a few hills and traffic on the narrow Lakes Way Nth of Foster, but main highway in great condition. Great views of Comboyne Plateau. << Prev - Next >> |
